Abstract This paper sets forth the results of an theoretical and experimental study into the electromechanical conversion of the pulsed linear electromagnetic engine caused by the influence of magnetic hysteresis. The offered technique allows to provide stability of the impact energy and high efficiency of electromechanical conversion (prior to 40 %).
