The Wear of Monitoring System for Friction Units
Abstract Many friction parts of different equipment are made from anti-friction materials which include non-ferrous metals, namely, Cu, Sn, Al, and others. Sliding bearings and separators of tumbler bearings are the typical example of the said friction parts. To estimate a wear level of friction parts, a very expensive and clumsy instruments, spectrometers, are now used worldwide. To receive a reliable conclusion on current technical condition of friction parts, it’s necessary to take off an oil sample and send it to a diagnostic center to be analyzed. Therefore, implementation of new tools which allow to determine in-line a wear level of friction parts manufactured from ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys, is vital.
