The work will be conducted together with the IBM research laboratories, and will be focused on the
development of control protocols for the next generation Exascale supercomputing machine.
The successful candidate will have an excellent academic record (minimum 2.1 honour or a
postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.Sc.) in Computer Science, Electronic engineering or related
discipline. She/he will be highly motivated, with strong communication skills and excellent
knowledge of C/C++ programming languages.
The successful candidates will have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following
areas:
- Routing protocols (e.g., IP, BGP)
- Digital Switching (e.g., Ethernet)
- MPLS/GMPLS technologies
- Optical switched networks
The position will be filled on a two year contract, subject to a one-year probationary period and will
carry a salary of
