Job Qualifications:
The position is in Software Engineering, so experience with numerical coding in C++ is a very strong plus.
However, Company is willing to consider a candidate possessing the required background in physics but having little software experience, provided the candidate is strongly interested in learning to become a proficient C++ programmer.
The candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-national engineering
environment.
The candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
Technical skills required:
General theory of 3-D differential and integral equations, and experience specifically with electrodynamics, solving finite differential equations, solving huge systems of linear equations efficiently, common methods of space and surface eshing/triangulation, and mathematical physics (including numerical methods);
C++ programming experience a strong plus.
Job Duties:
This person will work with experienced experts on a small core team, to develop advanced software for simulating the electromagnetic (EM) effects of signal and power delivery on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and IC packages.
The candidate must be able to take direction from the High-Speed team’s senior scientists, and implement and test EM solvers that integrate with analysis and PCB-design flows. Doing so will require both a deep understanding of the applicable mathematical/numerical problems and their efficient solutions, and willingness to work on all aspects of the resulting software, including testing
Conditions:
Social package, competitive salary (based upon interview results).
